  • Maple Syrup naturally breaks down to ~50:50 ratio of glucose and fructose. That balance matters: it helps your body absorb and use the energy faster, while reducing the risk of stomach issues.

    You have two carbohydrate pathways: glucose and fructose. A balanced ratio lets both pathways work at the same time, increasing the amount of fuel that can be absorbed and converted into energy. Too much of one type, however, slows uptake and can cause stomach issues. For example, options high in free fructose — like fruit or honey — can sit in your stomach, leading to possible discomfort and slower energy utilization.
